Edwina Woods
Before joining Pivot, Edwina was a secondary English Language Arts Teacher, lead teacher, mentor teacher, district instructional coach for ELAR, Assistant Principal, and Campus Principal. Edwina has been a National Board Certified Teacher since 2011.
After leaving the principalship, she joined the Region 10 Education Service Center in Richardson, Texas, where she served as a Program Coordinator in Administrative Services. As Program Coordinator, she coordinated all activities related to the annual Innovative Principal Conference (IPC), the Assistant Principal Leadership Academy (APLA), provided district and campus training in Crucial Conversations, and supported the Region 10 National Board Cohort as well as the Texas Instructional Leadership Team in building effective systems for instruction and learning.
Edwina graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in Natchitoches with two bachelor’s degrees—one in social work and the other in psychology. She earned her master’s in Education Administration from Dallas Baptist University and is currently in her third year of doctoral school at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
