Morgan Sheppard

Program Manager, Innovation

Morgan serves as the Program Manager on the Innovation Team at Pivot Learning, managing a range of projects including revamping the CalCurriculum website, launching an asynchronous academy for families of multilingual learners, and helping California districts measure ease of implementation with their instructional materials.

Morgan began her career managing an early grades literacy research project for Innovations for Poverty Action on the South Coast of Kenya. Following the conclusion of the study, she worked on the Operations & Impact Teams at the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, and then served as the Manager of Special Projects for UP Education Network in Massachusetts. At UP, she helped launch new initiatives for the network, including a benchmark assessment program and an internal leadership pipeline development program. For the past six years, Morgan has been teaching elementary school, including serving as the lead reading teacher for her grade level and recently being named as a “Distinguished Teacher.”
Morgan holds a B.A. in Public Policy Studies with minors in Education and Spanish from Duke University and an Ed.M. in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
