Stephanie has a deep tenure in public education. She has served as an advocate for open educational resources for Kendall Hunt Publishing and led the dissemination of open-source materials and professional learning to over 200 districts across the country. Previously, she served as Vice President of Human Capital and Operations with the Boys and Girls Clubs in Silicon Valley and Executive Director of Talent Management for San Francisco Unified School District.
As Assistant Director of the American Federation of Teachers, Stephanie redesigned teacher development and evaluation systems. A Master Educator under Michelle Rhee in the D.C. Public Schools, she contributed to the design of a groundbreaking human capital system. She began her career as a classroom teacher in Cleveland Heights, OH where she led a district math coaching program and earned National Board Certification. Stephanie has traveled to over 60 countries, studying education systems worldwide, and she holds a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Harvard University.
