pivotal news

Pivot Learning and CORE are collaborating with two researchers from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst to develop guidelines for identifying and addressing reading difficulties, including dyslexia. In order to understand the current Massachusetts landscape of policy and practice, Pivot convened two stakeholder meetings in January to meet with superintendents, directors of special education, teachers, speech and language pathologists, school psychologists, researchers and parents to understand issues related to reading difficulties from their varied perspectives. We will hold separate meetings to hear from students to ensure that the guidelines reflect the needs of as many users as possible.

We plan to complete the guidelines for dissemination by Winter 2020.
