To help districts ensure high-quality instruction for English Learners (ELs), Pivot Learning will be conducting an analysis of the ELA and mathematics assignments given to ELs in California middle schools this fall.
Districts will share their assignments and Pivot will analyze each assignment for its rigor and alignment to standards. This data will be paired with findings from interviews with district administrators, focus groups with site administrators, and teacher surveys.
Submit your application to participate in the research project by June 25. You will be notified if your district has been selected to join the study this summer. Research will begin in August. We will do our best to keep the time commitment to a minimum.
If selected, your district will receive:
- Advanced copy of the research findings
- A stipend to be used at your discretion
- Virtual training and ongoing support
