Research shows that in the state of California a large achievement gap exists for English Learners (ELs), and educators report that they are under prepared to effectively teach their English Learners. In this latest installment of our Curriculum Matters: Learning and Advocacy Series, Leyla Bravo, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives at English Learners Success Forum (ELSF), discusses the importance of centering the needs of English Learners in the adoption of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM).
