About the Position
At Pivot we look for talented and inspiring colleagues who believe in public education and the imperative to support schools to innovate and improve. We are currently seeking a Director, Education Programs to join the Pivot team. This position will be responsible for managing projects in our Prevention & Intervention portfolio that support the systems of assessment, instruction, intervention, and support for every student in service of equitable student outcomes.
This position will be responsible for managing a multi-year grant funded project to support a model of learning recovery and continuous improvement that impacts outcomes for students with disabilities and other students with structural barriers to their success. In addition to working directly with the participating school districts, this project also focuses on further developing Pivot’s model of high-quality prevention and intervention services. This position will also contribute to additional grant and fee-for-service projects across the portfolio.
This is a full-time, Exempt position, reporting to a Vice President, Education Programs. Candidates for this position can be based anywhere in the US. Pivot is headquartered in Oakland, CA, however all staff are currently working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We anticipate Bay Area staff having the option to return to an in-office setting at a future date. Travel (car and air) will be required for this role, including regular travel to California and monthly or more travel to school districts, once regular travel resumes post-pandemic.
